The Ipswich Hospital Foundation Wig Library is a service specifically for cancer patients who through treatment have lost their hair.

To help ease the emotions involved with hair loss, patients are able to borrow a wig of their choice for as long as they require. There are a wide range of wigs and turbans available and the friendly staff at the Library will work with you to ensure you are fitted with a wig that suits you.

Wig Library Borrowing Conditions 

In order to borrow a wig from the library, you must complete the Contact Details form attached to this information brochure and agree to the terms and conditions.

Items available to borrow 

One wig, turbans, one wig stand, shampoo, conditioner, sheen, metal brush or comb.

Cleaning 

To maximise the life of a wig, please clean it regularly with the products provided. Refer to the Care Instructions given to you in your care pack.

To schedule an appointment with our hair stylist, please contact us. Or, complete the wig request form and send it back to us, so we can better assist you.

Returning Items 

All items must be returned to the Ipswich Hospital Foundation once they are no longer needed. Office hours are 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
